  1. What did you do this past week?

Last week is spring break so I was back in Plano to visit my parents. We have a great time chatting and doing stuff together. We also go to the Japanese Botanic Garden in Fort Worth which is 1 hour driving from Plano. It’s spring now so there were a lot of beautiful trees, flowers, and scenes there.

2. What will you do next week?

Project 4 of CS371P has been released so I plan to do it as soon as possible. My OS class has moved to another topic which is about file systems and virtual memory which are pretty complicated and new to me. Therefore, I have to spend more time not only reviewing the old stuff but also learn new things.

3. If you read it, what did you think of the Interface Segregation Principle?

I do not have time to read through but just skim the article. I think it is much related to the Open-Closes Principles. It also was talked about Class Interfaces and Object Interfaces which are very different but also make me confused.

4. What was your experience of initializations, and vector? (this question will vary, week to week)

I do not have much experience of initializations and vector. The recent lecture of Dr. Downing really helped me understand more clearly about initializing the value of built-in type and user-define-type by calling their constructors. Regarding vector, I think that they are similar to ArrayList in Java but I am not sure about the underlying container and their implementing details.

5. What made you happy this week?

Staying with my parents is a lot of fun but back to my own place in Austin made me feel comfortable. I also could be more productive and focus on my plan. In addition, the beautiful weather during this time along with the beautiful nature of Austin gives me many opportunities to participate in outdoor activities.
